As we grow, our product line will grow also. Nature willing—we grow a variety of lettuce/romaine, herbs, tilapia and tropical fish for your aquarium. Vegetables and fish grown by AquaOrganics are grown naturally in an eco-friendly way without pesticides or hormones. We are seeking organic certification.

What we currently offer reflects what people have been most interested in and what we can more or less reliably grow. Suggestions are welcome.

Avocados - Haas

Avocados add texture, flavor and a richness to many dishes. Add to sandwiches or salads, make guacamole, even mix them in smoothies. Try pureeing one with goat or cream cheese, a little hot sauce or pepper flakes, sea salt and pepper. To make guacamole, mix chopped avocados with lime juice, finely diced onion or scallion, finely diced jalapeno, fresh cilantro, sea salt, garlic, and diced tomato. How 'bout a topping for fish or chicken? Just blend with sour cream, sea salt, and spices of your choice. You can even make delicious "green eggs"- boil your eggs, cut in half and take out the yolks. Now mix yolks with avocado, lemon juice, mayo, & maybe some fresh dill and then stuff into those hard cooked whites.

This 10" hanging pot would look great inside or outside at your house! Did you know this is a Florida native? Plant this fern in clumps under the darkest canopy of a tree about 2 to 3' apart. It will spread and fill in quickly forming a 2' tall ground cover. Can tolerate occasional moist ground. Frosts will kill this plant to the ground, but it will regrow from its rhizomes still in the soil. Few serious pest problems with this landscape plant- look for scales, mealybugs and mites. Have you seen Boston ferns growing in the base of palm fronds covering the trunks of the palm trees such as Date Palms, Pindo Palms, and Cabbage palms - our state tree? One of the few things we don't grow hydroponically! So many ways to use eggplant from dips to sautees, roasted, with meats or other veggies. Very versatile; bake whole and then puree into Baba Ganoush or a dip, fry, turn into a casserole or parmesan, add to stews, sautee with other vegetables, grilled, or stuff. It all depends on how you slice it! Slice lengthwise and roll with a stuffing and top with a tomato sauce, slice in circles to be used in parmesan, slice in cubes to be fried or sauteed, used in a sandwhich, main course, salad (grilled with fresh mozzarella and tomatoes), sauteed and added to pasta, pureed into a sauce or added to ground beef or lamb to stretch the meat into more servings.
